Area Agency on Aging

About Us

The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) of Lake and Mendocino Counties plans, coordinates and implements the development of, and access to, community-based support services for seniors and their caregivers, allowing older individuals 60 years of age or older to maintain their dignity and quality of life, and stay safe and independent in their own homes and communities. There are no fees charged for AAA services, and no one is denied because of an inability to contribute. Contributions from recipients and/or families are accepted and encouraged.

The Area Agency on Aging of Lake and Mendocino Counties is seeking qualified non-profits, government agencies, or companies interested in providing one or more of the services for older adults listed below.

  • Congregate and Home Delivered Meals
  • Health Promotion/Disease Management
  • Dietician
  • Elder Abuse Prevention
  • Supportive Services
  • Legal Services 
  • Transportation
  • Family Caregiver Support

REQUEST FOR LETTER OF INTEREST
For the Service of a Data Management System

The Area Agency on Aging of Lake & Mendocino Counties (AAA), Planning and Service Area 26 (PSA26) is requesting in the form of a Letter of Interest from qualified agencies and/or professionals to provide comprehensive planning, development, data conversion, implementation and support of a Management Information System (MIS). This proposal is open to any agency and/or professional that meets the minimum qualifications and has the required experience as described.

For the Service of a Financial Audit for Fiscal Year 2024 - 2025


The Area Agency on Aging of Lake & Mendocino Counties (AAA), Planning and Service Area 26 (PSA26) is requesting in the form of a Letter of Interest from qualified agencies and/or professionals to provide an internal financial audit for fiscal year 2024-2025. This proposal is open to any agency and/or professional that meets the minimum qualifications and has the required experience as described.
